Hudson "Hud" Platt (T.J. Miller) is a main character in Cloverfield and one of the "Slusho 7". He is interested in comic books and may work as an intern in that industry.

Hud did not directly appear in the trailer, leading people to believe that he is the cameraman. This was confirmed on 29Oct07, where it was also confirmed that he films the whole movie.

Hud appears in the 5th picture, in between Jamie and Rob. He is probably holding the camera in the top-left corner.
Relationship with other characters
- Hud and Rob are roommates and good friends.
- Hud and Marlena are not friends on MySpace, and apparently do not know each other. They are the only members of the "Slusho 7" not to have all members of the group as a friend.
Trivia
- Hud has invited friends on the MySpace community to submit pictures of their original comic book characters, and intends to interactively develop a story.
- Hud is likely named after a Heads-Up display, or a "HUD," which is fitting given that he operates the camera in the film.
- Hud's height on MySpace has been changed to 2'6", most likely a reference to him being bitten in two when attacked by the monster.
